Timothy Jurkovich

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2024 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Kristoffer McKusky celebrating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church.  Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.

Timothy Walter Jurkovich, 68, of Gilbert died Monday, January 22, 2024 at his home.  

He was born on April 3, 1955 to Gregory and Elaine (Kiest) Jurkovich in Hibbing.  He grew up in Aurora and graduated from the Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School, Class of 1973.   Tim married Bonnie Peterson on July 20, 1974.   Tim was employed by Erie Mining Company and later LTV where he retired after the mine closed.  He then went to work for Super One Foods North in Virginia.  Tim was a member of the Holy Rosary church and also a former member of the Knights of Columbus.  

He enjoyed puzzles, reading, being outdoors, camping and was an avid Vikings fan.  He will be remembered for having a heart of gold.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years: Bonnie; children: Jennifer Jurkovich of Cold Spring, MN, Jason (Tanya) Jurkovich of St. Paul and Tristan Jurkovich of Gilbert; one granddaughter, Kennedy Jurkovich; mother, Elaine Jurkovich of Virginia; three brothers: Dr. G. Jerry (Deanne) Jurkovich of Sacramento, CA, Bradley (Krista) Jurkovich of Olympia, WA and James (Stephanie) Jurkovich of St. Paul; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory and a sister, Mary Jurkovich.
