Susan J Tibbetts

Susan J. (Norby) Tibbetts, 68, formerly of Aurora, MN went home to be with her Saviour on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.

Susan was born June 21, 1950 to Edwin and LaDonna Norby and grew up in the small, northwestern Minnesota town of Ada. She graduated from Aurora High School in 1968. It was in 1966 when Susan met the love of her life, Dave Tibbetts. They married in Aurora, MN in December, 1968.   They were blessed with four wonderful children. Jammie (Rick) Mikesh and six children Katelyn (Sam) Caie, Devon; Mariah (Brandon) Megan, Zachary; Breanna, Emily, Mitchell and Matthew. Jimmy (Cindy) Tibbetts and two children Beau and Ashley. Patti (Steve) Papin and two children Dustyn Hadersbeck, Ava and Audree; Chelsey Hadersbeck. Sheila (Jesse) Richter and Landon.

Sue graduated in 1986 from Cosmetology Careers Unlimited in Virginia, MN as a beautician. She owned and operated The Hair Company in Hoyt Lakes for 20 years, where she cherished each and every client as a dear friend. Always one for instigating fun and pranks (both at home and at the shop), Sue most enjoyed the endless water fights in her salon.

Sue was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend. She was gifted with a remarkable sense of humor, a heart of gold, and was loved by everyone she met. Her smile was contagious and her positive, upbeat spirit always drew many folks to her home and salon. Sue loved shopping with her daughters and her sisters; playing volleyball, and always looked forward to attending her children’s athletic events, holiday family gatherings, and annual Bible camp.

She is survived by her husband Dave, 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother Dale, sisters Sheila, Dixie and Debby and many nieces and nephews. Sue is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Ladonna Norby.

She will be missed by all, but none more than her husband Dave who graciously provided his dear Susie with love, care, strength and unending support during the many years of her physical trials. There are 2 things that Susan would want each and every reader of this obituary to personally embrace… The Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, and for you to live for Him with all your heart, mind and soul.

Funeral Service will be held 10am Friday, April 5, 2019 at Grace and Truth Bible Church in Virginia. Pastors Daniel Miller and Rick Mikesh will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Saginaw, Minnesota.
