Rosemary Rowena (Gould) Miller passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Rose was born on January 18, 1947, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, to Stanley and Helen Gould. In 1965, she married the love of her life, James Miller, and they shared 41 years of marriage before his passing on October 28, 2009. She worked in retail for many years, including 12 years at Pamida and 7 years at Christopher & Banks.
Rose was truly one of a kind. She had a sharp sense of humor and wasn’t afraid to use it, often catching people off guard with a perfectly timed joke or a comment that made you laugh and think, “Did she really just say that?” (She did—and she meant it.) She brought personality into every room and made even the simplest moments feel a little more alive.
She found joy in gardening, watching wildlife, spending time with her family, and relaxing with her favorite television shows. Above all, she loved being a grandmother—a role she carried with love, humor, and a presence that will never be forgotten.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Wendy (Scott) Elo and their daughter, Emma; Ricky (Nikki) Miller and their daughters, Jamie and Leah; and Brian (Amy) Miller and their children, Nick (Chelsea) Halliday-Delph and Jennah (Austin) Bristol. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved grand-pets, including Pumpkin, Molly, Link, Majora, and Zelda.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James; her parents; her siblings; and her great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
