Rita Marie Erickson

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Hoyt Lakes with Fr. Peter Lambert celebrating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Sunday at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with the recitation of the rosary at 6:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to mass at the church.  Interment will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Rita (Ebnet) Erickson, 69 of Dickson, TN formerly of Hoyt Lakes died Sunday, September 16th, 2018 in Nashville, TN surrounded by all of her children.  Rita was born August 18th, 1949 in Mahnomen, MN to Paul and Bernice (Niesen) Ebnet. She was a graduate of Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School. On August 26th, 1972 she married Dwayne Erickson in Hoyt Lakes, MN.  Her devotions in life were her Catholic Faith and her family. She thoroughly enjoyed raising her children and spending playful time with her grandchildren ensuring each one was "spoiled rotten". Earlier this year she was thrilled to be blessed with her first great grandchild. Rita was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church for many years and taught religious education for several years. She was a lifelong dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and will be missed by all.  She is survived by her children: Sheri (Rich) Timmons of Glen Rose, TX, Lisa (Rob) Wagner of Commerce, TX, Scott (Patti) Erickson of Hoyt Lakes, MN, Sandra (Ken) Goenner of Cold Spring, MN Daniel (Heather) Erickson of White Bluff, TN, Timothy Erickson of White Bluff, TN, Catherine (Michael) Vanhook of Dickson, TN, Mary Erickson of Hoyt Lakes; 27 grandchildren, 2 expected grandchildren, 1 great grandchild  5 brothers, 2 sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne: Granddaughter, Morgan: Parents: Paul and Bernice Ebnet; In-laws Darrill and Elsie Erickson; sister, Jean Ebnet: nephew, Mike Ebnet.
