Marlene Ann Heikkila, 89, of Hoyt Lakes passed away at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Mt. Iron on August 27, 2026. She was born in Duluth to Art and Hetty Korpela. She married Donald Heikkila and they raise their three children in Hoyt Lakes. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes and committed to community service. Her husband Donald passed away and she remarried Frank Staudahr and she moved to Virginia. Marlene was a strong woman who was full of energy and dedicated to her family.

She was preceded in death by, husband, Donald Heikkila, husband, Frank Staudhr, son, Rickey Heikkila, daughter-in-law, Kim Heikkila, grandson, Kyle Heikkila, son-in-law, Paul Pospeck, and sister, Faye Hurst.

She is survived by children Leanne (Clyde) Anttila, Gail Pospeck, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. As well as countless relatives and friends throughout the community.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Hoyt Lakes Cemetery.
