Marjorie Ann Christensen

A memorial service for Marjorie will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 1:00p.m. at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with visitation beginning one hour prior. Inurnment will be at Hoyt Lakes Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Hoyt Lakes Community Center.

Marjorie A. Christensen, 89, of Hoyt Lakes, died Friday, March 3, 2023 at Essentia Health - Northern Pines in Aurora, Minnesota.

Marjorie was born December 18, 1933 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Timothy and Hilma (Lind) Johnson. She was a graduate of International Falls High School and was married to Elliott Christensen on May 28, 1951 in International Falls.

The couple moved to Hoyt Lakes in 1957 where Marge was a homemaker and raised her family. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, an avid card player and enjoyed fishing, golf, walking and being a passenger on Elliott’s Atv.

Survivors include her children: Timothy (Tina) of Hoyt Lakes, Dave (Lori) of Duluth, Elliott Jr. (Annette) of Anoka and Matthew (Roxy) of Aurora; grandchildren: Kelly, Kevin, Kori (Noah), John (Shannon), Joel, Doug, and Nick; great grandchildren: Emmet, Lucy, Hannah, Peter, Charlotte and one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Elliott.
