Lawrence Walter Peggar, 84, of Aurora died Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Essentia Health-Northern Pines in Aurora.
Lawrence was born on June 26, 1941 to Oscar and Mary (Wirt) Peggar in International Falls, MN. He grew up and attended Indus High School, graduating from the Class of 1959. Lawrence enlisted into the US Air Force and was stationed in Spain. He then attained his B.A. in Accounting and shortly after became employed as an accountant at LTV Steel until his retirement after thirty-eight years of service. Lawrence was united in marriage to Doreen Sinsel on October 23, 1971. The couple made their home in Aurora. He was a former member of the Aurora American Legion. Lawrence enjoyed woodworking, especially with diamond willow, being outdoors, gardening, hunting and fishing, along with reading and working puzzles. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years: Doreen; daughter, Jennifer (David) Rollins of Blaine; son, Walter Peggar of Aurora; grandsons: Alex and Zack Rollins; sister, Judy (Ardean) Brasgalla of Cass Lake; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Leah Robertson and his parents.
A private family service was held at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.
