Geoffrey A McNiel

Funeral service for Geoffrey Arnold McNiel, 53, of Virginia, will be 11am Friday, July 20, 2018 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery.   Geoffrey died Sunday July 15, 2018 in Virginia, MN.   He was born March 9, 1965 in Granada Hills, CA to George and Ruth McNiel. He worked as a restaurant cook for most of his life.  He was also an avid fisherman, he enjoyed repairing vehicles and was able to quickly solve jigsaw puzzles.   Survivors include his sons: Geoffrey and Dustin, both of Virginia; granddaughter, Zoey; mother, Ruth McNiel of Chehalis, Wash.; siblings: Bob, Linda, Dave, Mike, Rose, Ramona, Ken, Daniel, Loren, Keith, Theresa, Mark, Tim and George; his former wife, JoDell of Gilbert; several nieces and nephews.   He is preceded in death by his father, George and sisters: Ruth and Natalie.
