Funeral Mass for Frank Raymond Van De Hey, 22, of Aurora, will be 10am Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Kristoffer McKusky as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be at a later date in the Rauha Cemetery in Palo, Minnesota. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.
Frank died Monday, December 18, 2023 at Fairview – University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born February 14, 2001 in Virginia, Minnesota to Frank J. and Danette (Gooden) Van De Hey. Frank was a 2020 graduate of Mesabi East High School and was active in speech, drama and choir. He was currently employed at Super One South in the utilities department.
Frank enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Some of his favorite pastimes were listening to music and being with his dog, Alfie. Frank was a devout member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and enjoyed his friendships he made there.
Survivors include his parents: Danette (Richard Runston) Gooden of Nashwauk and Frank J. Van De Hey of Aurora; grandmother, Dian Van De Hey; siblings: Elizabeth (Joseph) Pender, Christopher (Katie Mullay) Van De Hey, Stephanie (Jeremy) Recore, Nicholas Van De Hey and Marykathryn (James Tagtgren) Van De Hey; niece and nephews: Kyra, Marshall, Clinton, Jace and Greyson; numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Dennis and Joanne Gooden and Frank R. Van De Hey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given in memory of Frank to Camp Odayin, for those with congenital heart conditions.
