Eunice Walker

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2026 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Aurora with Pastor Zachary Klumpp officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home of Aurora.

Eunice Lydia Walker, 98, of Hoyt Lakes died Monday, October 5, 2026 at Essentia Health-Northern Pines in Aurora.

Eunice was born on April 11,1928 to Albert and Amanda (Bergemann) Conrad in Blue Earth, MN. She graduated from the Waseca High School and furthered her education at Mankato State. Eunice’s first job was a waitress. It was at that restaurant where she met the love of her life, Everett Walker. The couple was united in marriage On October 24,1948. She also taught school for one year in Plainview, MN and later at the Birds Eye Plant in Waseca. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Aurora where she also served as the church organist and Sunday School Teacher. Eunice was also a member of the Hoyt Lakes Senior Citizen’s Club. She volunteered for bandage making and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and playing games and cards.

Survivors include her children: Ron (Carol) Walker, Penny Blokzyl, Nancy Manley and Thom (Teri) Walker; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Peterson; and brother, Mark (Diane) Conrad and sister-in-law, Judy Conrad; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; brother, Ralph Conrad; son-in-law, Ken Blokzyl; brother-in-law, Harris Peterson; and her parents.
