Funeral service for Estelle Irene Aspie Zabrocki, 92, of Duluth, formerly of Aurora, will be Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Aurora with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora, Minnesota. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.
Estelle died Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Mount Royal Pines III Assisted Living in Duluth, Minnesota.
She was born June 20, 1932 in Palo, Minnesota to Matt and Lila (Kumpula) Erickson. She was a 1950 graduate of Aurora High School and attended the University of Minnesota – Duluth 1950-1951. On February 8, 1953 she married Lloyd Aspie in Ft. Lewis, Washington. She married Albin Zabrocki on August 9, 1980 in Aurora, Minnesota.
She was a teller and past board member of the State Bank of Aurora and an active member of Aurora United Methodist Church. Estelle also enjoyed volunteering at Essentia Health – Northern Pines Care Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Lila, sister Doris Aronen, and husband Albin Zabrocki.
Survivors include her children: Susan (Gordon Elam) Aspie, Christine (Jason) Dillon, Jon Aspie, David Aspie. Step-children: Sharon Riebel, CAPT (Ret.) Alan (Monica) Zabrocki, USN, Peggy (George) Seldat. Grandchildren: Clarissa (Gerard) Marrone, LCDR Kyle (Julianne) Elam, USNR, Matthew (Kimberlie) Dillon, Jesse (Kelsey) Dillon, Abigail Dillon. Step-Grands: Steven (Beth) Riebel, Kerrie (Alan) Hertaus, David (Ann) Riebel, Rochelle Riebel, Dr. Michael (Martin Donais) Zabrocki, CAPT Luke (Aleksandra) Zabrocki, USN, Matthew (Kathleen) Zabrocki, Patrick (Sylvia) Zabrocki, Lara Bump, Dr. Erin (Nick) Kline, Dr. Brigid (Matt) Lunder, and Jonathan (Heather) Seldat. There are 34 Great-grandchildren combined and 11 Step-great-great-grandchildren.
