A Celebration of Life for David John Stephens, 69, of Hoyt Lakes, will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 11:00am-3:00pm, with eulogies at 12:30pm at the Aurora American Legion Post #241 in Aurora. Lunch will be served following the eulogies. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.
David died Monday, September 19, 2022 in the comfort of his home, on Hospice, surrounded by family following a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
David was born October 8, 1952 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Thedro and Iyone Stephens.
Survivors include his wife, Margie; daughters: Peggy Dischinger (Rick), Holly Stephens (Brian) and Amy Michels (Stacy); grandchildren: Kendra Muenchow (Will), Kaylee Dischinger, Kyle Dischinger (Kelsey), Emily Swanson, Kara Swanson and Jacob Michels; great grandchildren: Leven, Piper, Mabel and Evan; siblings: Mike Stephens (Pat), Robert Stephens, William Stephens (Cindy), James Stephens (Barb) and Bev Orso (Paul).
He is preceded in death by his father, Thedro; mother, Iyone Tollefson; step-father, Jay Tollefson; sister-in-law, Carol Stephens.
