Darlene Baldonado

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Darlene Gladys Baldonado (Fontaine) on February 20, 2026, in Aurora, MN. Born on August 15, 1931, in Hermantown, MN, to Leo and Alma (Johnson) Fontaine, Darlene graduated from Proctor High School with the Class of 1949.

In 1955, Darlene married Augustine Baldonado. Together, they raised three children and embraced the life of a military family, living in various locations before making Aurora their home in 1965.

Darlene is lovingly remembered by her sister Audrey; her children Debbie (Donnie) and Tim (Yuhni); her grandchildren Christine, Marilyn, Brandon, and Sean; her great-grandchildren Samantha, Alexsandra, Andrea, Danyelle, Corrine, and Teala; and her great-great-grandchildren Harper, Evie, Reese, and Olivia. She also held a special place in her heart for her niece Wendy and nephew Charlie.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Alma; her sisters Joyce and Lois; her husband Augustine; her son Ricky; and her grandson Ricky.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Northern Pines and East Range Hospice for their care and support during this time.
