Cheryl Anne (Haynes) Palmi, 74, of Cornerstone Villa, Buhl, Minn., formerly of Hoyt Lakes, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 21, 2026 in Duluth, Minn., with her loving family by her side.
Cheryl was born May 7, 1952, at Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids to Ronald and Marie (Hoey) Haynes. Cheryl graduated from Aurora Hoyt Lakes high school in1970 and went on to become a dental assistant in Aurora. Cheryl's greatest joy was the deep love she had for her sons, Nathan and Joshua, and her grandsons, Wyatt and Cole.
Her faith was reflected in the way she lived, leaving a lifetime of memories and a family who will carry her love with them. We will remember her for the gentle love she gave her children and grandchildren, the friendships she treasured and the people she touched along the way. Music was a huge part of her life, and she loved listening to her son and his band, Morningbird and also when he played with Trapper. Cheryl was an avid fan of the Minnesota Wild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Marie Haynes, and a nephew, Tanner Haynes and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cheryl will be deeply missed by her children, Nathan (Laurel) Palmi and Joshua (Reagan Jenkins) Palmi, and her grandsons, Wyatt and Cole Palmi. She is also survived by siblings Ronald (Gina) Haynes, Joanne (John) Dick, Connie Halling, Randy (Linda) Haynes and Richard (Rita) Haynes, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses of St Mary's Hospital in Duluth for the excellent care Cheryl received and the kindness shown all of us.
