Carol J Miner

Carol J. Miner, 63, of Aurora, died Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Waterview Pines in Virginia, MN.  Carol was born September 4, 1960 in Aurora to Willard and Dorothy Lakela.  She graduated from Aurora Hoyt Lakes High School in 1978.  Carol met Michael P. Miner, and they were married on September 5, 1981.

Family was of utmost importance to Carol.  Carol’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Being the mom to two sets of twins brought her immeasurable pride. Carol was also affectionately referred to as “Mom” by many of the neighborhood children. She is admired for her strength, resourcefulness, and unconditional love for others. Carol’s presence was known by her smile that lit up the room, dangling earrings, and a long flowing dress.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willard, on December 22, 2020.

Carol is survived by her husband, Michael; children, Michelle Miner, Michael C. (Kelli) Miner, Jonathan Miner and Jennifer Miner; her mother, Dorothy Lakela; grandchildren, Tyler, Adrieanna, Georgia and Izabella; her brother, Jeffery Lakela.

Funeral service will be Friday, October 27, 2023 at 2:00pm.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service and will be held at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home, 402 W 3^rd St. N., Aurora, MN. (218) 229-3160.
