Bonnie Sue Setniker

May 3, 1956 — May 20, 2023

Bonnie Sue (Main) Setniker, 67, of Biwabik died Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

Bonnie Sue Main was born May 3rd, 1956, to Kenneth and Jessie (MacMillan) Main of Duluth Minn. Bonnie was second of six siblings and she was given the nickname “Sis” as a child, she was truly the most feisty one of the whole bunch! Bonnie’s Happy Place was at her and Baker’s hide-a-way in the woods. She loved spending time with her family and friends and she also loved to escape to her hide-a-way simply to relax. She was an avid reader and very knowledgeable on all world events and politics. She loved dogs and many creatures of nature especially watching birds and hummingbirds. When her daughters and grandchildren or friends came to her home or out to the hide-a-way, she always took a lot of pictures and spoke of how much fun she would have with them. And Bonnie was a hard worker, she started at a young age working in food service for St. Mary’s Hospital and then went on to hold a variety of jobs in Biwabik upon moving to the Iron Range in the early 80’s. As a Wife, Mom and Grandma she was instrumental in making sure every birthday and holiday was special in every way!

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and father, Jessie and Ken Main; a nephew, Dusty Pearson; and two brothers-in-law, Ernie Bartlett and Jim Askelson.

She is survived by and will be greatly missed by, her husband Dennis “Baker” Setniker, daughters Heidi (Greg) Drieman, Ginger Main and Annette Main. eight grandchildren, Joelene Bradford, Riley and Conner Drieman, Jasmine Main, Jada and Jackson Moats, George and Jesse Stark and a great-granddaughter Ella Drieman, and her siblings, Debra Bartlett, Britt, MN.; Lyndie & Dan Hietala, Forest Lake, MN.; Butch & Deb Main, Duluth, MN.; Lisa Askelson & Andy Rose, Duluth, MN.; and Susan & John Pearson, Fredenberg, MN. and her sweet canine kid Fiona. As well as many, many friends.
