Memorial service for Jason Michael Jordahl, 26, of Duluth, formerly of Gilbert will be 11 am Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Michael Garry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Jason died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at his home. He was born on January 16, 1992 to Brian and Michelle (Kavcich) Jordahl in Virginia. He grew up and attended school at Eveleth Gilbert until transferring to ERATS where he graduated 2010, the first class to graduate from ERATS. Following high school, Jason attended Mesabi Range College. Jason moved to Duluth where he was currently working as a direct support professional at DRCC for the past seven years. Jason enjoyed spending time at Park Point. He will always be remembered as having a kind and caring soul, with a great sense of humor. His family says his smile would light up a room. Survivors include his parents: Brian and Michelle Jordahl of Gilbert; sister: Jen Jordahl of Rockford, MN; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Loraine and Harry Jordahl; maternal grandparents: Tony and Gen Kavcich; two aunts, Sheila Mattson and Jody Jordahl; and uncle, Arvo Mattson.
