Donna J. Frantar

Funeral service for Donna J. Frantar, 88, of Eveleth, will be 10:30am Wednesday January 17, 2018 at United in Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth with Pastor John Dietz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Donna died Thursday, January 04, 2018 at Edgewood Vista in Virginia, Minnesota. Donna was born April 5, 1929 in Elcor Location to Thomas and Julia (Tinnes) Veralrud. She was a graduate of Gilbert High School and later attended Eveleth Jr. College. She moved to Minneapolis where she worked as an interior decorator and clerical for Aetna Insurance Company. She returned to the Iron Range and worked for Fisher Printing and the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factories in Eveleth and Virginia. On May 1, 1970 she married William Frantar. She was a member of United In Christ Lutheran Church and enjoyed painting and playing the piano. Survivors include her nephew, Dr. John (Claudia) Zupancic and nieces, Ramona (Gene) Knutson and Debra (Ronald) Carpenter. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, William.
