Kenneth J. Boyle

Funeral Mass for Kenneth J. Boyle, 89, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 10am Monday, January 8, 2018 at Our Lady of Hope Parish in Hoyt Lakes, with Fr. Peter Lambert as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass at church. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Kenneth died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Essentia Health – Virginia, MN. Kenneth was born July 7, 1928 in Ashland, WI to John and Ruth (Moe) Boyle. He was united in marriage to Arvilla “Bells” Veno on June 18, 1949. Kenneth served our country in the US Air Force from 1952-1956. He worked as a furnace operator at Erie Mining Company; retiring from there in 1995 with 35 years of service. He enjoyed listening to music, writing poems and short stories and rooting for the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed playing softball and was a member of the Aurora American Legion Post 241. Survivors include his son, Wes (June), Daughters: Lurene (Wayne) Ahmann, Donna (Walter) O’Farrell, Terri (Richard) Reynolds and Jackie (Jamie) Foster; grandchildren: Lisa (Tom), Carrie (Rob), Nathan (Shan), Brian (Lauren), Michael, Lynn (Brandon), Emily, Kendra (Chad) and Amanda (Tyler); 17 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Arvilla and daughter, Sister Ruth.
