Eric Jurenic

Memorial service for Eric Michael Jurenic, 44, of Duluth, formerly of Eveleth will be 1 pm Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Pastor Don Guttormson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Eric died Sunday, September 17, 2017 due to natural causes. He was born on August 31, 1973 to George and Kathleen (Knaus) Jurenic in Virginia. He grew up and attended school in Eveleth. Following school, he furthered his education in carpentry. He had worked for Lakehead Constructors and most recently had been building garages. He enjoyed socializing with his friends and had a strong faith in Jesus. Eric will be remembered for his kind, gentle, generous heart. Survivors include his mother, Kathy Swanson of Eveleth; two sisters: Lisa McNamee of Virginia and Christine Immel of WI; six children: Michael, Chandler, Breanna, Amanda, Dylan, and Gabriel; one infant grandson, Alistair James Jurenic Wheeler; a special nephew and niece: Cody McNamee and Jordyn Johnson; as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George; grandparents: John and Ida Knaus and Albert and Betty Jurenic; and a special aunt, Tweetsy Jegloski.
