Funeral service for Patrick Daniel Berg, 32, of Biwabik will be 2 pm Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Pastor Don Guttormson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik at a later date. Patrick died Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Togo, MN He was born on November 1, 1984 to Daniel and Terry (Hansen) Berg in Virginia. He grew up and lived in Biwabik his entire life. He was a 2003 graduate of the Mesabi East High School. Following high school, Patrick attended St. Cloud Technical School and later Mesabi Range College – Eveleth Campus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, and spending time at the shack. Patrick took the greatest pleasure in spending time with his family, especially his two boys. Survivors include his two sons: Dawson and Dominic; his mother: Terry Berg of Superior; and Dan (Karen) Berg of Biwabik; two sisters: Shannon (Mike) Lien of Hutchinson and Kristen (Chuck) Royseth of Aurora; his grandmother: Sandra Berg of Biwabik; nephews: Hunter and Hudson Lien; niece: Kyla Royseth; godparents: Todd (Kim) Berg and Kristie (Earl) Lutz; two stepsiblings: Corey Anderson and Jessica (Phil) Wallace; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Arvin Berg and maternal grandparents, Bob and Ailie Rankila.
