Joe Korva

Memorial service for Joe Lee Korva, 39, of Palo will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Fr. Peter Lambert officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Joe died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Essentia Health- Northern Pines in Aurora. He was born on August 15, 1977 to Leonard and Elizabeth (Schley) Korva in Virginia. Joe attended Mesabi East High School graduating from the class of 1996. He was a welder by trade and was currently enrolled at Hibbing Community College in the Diesel Mechanics Program. On March 8, 2013 Joe was united in marriage to Michelle Rosenquist in Virginia. Joe was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, baking, canning, and camping. Joe mostly enjoyed his family and his children were the utmost importance to him. Survivors include his wife: Michelle; two sons: Ryan and Jesse; a daughter: Taylor; stepdaughter: Hailey Hakkila; his parents: Leonard and Betty; two siblings: Cory (Wendy) and Jen (Wade); as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and all his pets: Jasmine, Flash, Throttle, Jynx, and Mittens He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
