Veryle Dombrowski

Funeral Mass for Veryle Florence Dombrowski, 93, of Aurora, will be 10am Monday, March 27, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Peter Lambert as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Veryle died Tuesday, March21, 2017 at Edgewood Vista in Virginia, MN. Veryle was born December 30, 1923 in Eveleth, Minnesota to Roy and Rose (Bertucci) Vanderwalker. She was a graduate of Eveleth High School and was a proud graduate of St. Scholastica in 1946 where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English, a degree in library science and also received her teaching certificate. Veryle taught in Embarrass, Skokie, Illinois and Montgomery, MN. . On December 27, 1949 she married Waclaw “Curly” Dombrowski. Veryle worked as the librarian for the City of Aurora and later at Cina Elementary in Aurora. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was well known by her family for making the best pumpkin pie. She and Curly enjoyed traveling, especially to polka dances. Family was of the utmost importance to her and she always enjoyed visits from the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children: John (Sally) of Maple Grove, Richard of Minneapolis, Denise (Lee) Armstrong of Aurora and Alan (Luci) of Woodbury; grandchildren: Brett (Holly) LaBare, Jason (Karen) LaBare, Kathryn (Brad) Dombrowski Ziemer, Jill Dombrowski and Jenna Dombrowski; great grandchildren: Garrett, Sadie, Natalie and Zachary; sister, Greta Denny of Eveleth; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curly; siblings: Katherine, Doris, Carrie, Roland, Bernadette, Marcia, Clyde and Dale.
