Deborah Jane Mancina

Memorial service for Deborah Jane Mancina, 61, of Makinen, will be 10:30am Friday, March 24, 2017 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth with Fr. Michael Garry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Deborah died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. She was born January 4, 1956 in Virginia, Minnesota to John and Loretta (Leppanen) Briski. Deborah was a graduate of Eveleth High School and later attended the University of Minnesota – Duluth. On August 24, 1973 she married Michael Mancina in Iron, Minnesota. She worked as a pre-school teacher in Duluth for several years. She was also a homemaker who especially enjoyed raising her boys in the country. Deb enjoyed gardening and tending to her hummingbirds. Survivors include her husband, Michael; sons: Josh and Jake; grandsons: Kyle and Ace; parents, John and Loretta Briski; siblings: Michael (Jomi), Dennis (Colleen), Gary (Sue), Alan (Tae), Doug (Gail) and Tim (Michelle) Briski and Nancy (Bill) Pratt; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her niece, Elizabeth Briski Pierce and her grandparents.
