John A. DesRosier

Memorial service for John Arthur DesRosier, 74, of Virginia, formerly of Eveleth, will be 10:30am Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Hope Community Presbyterian Church in Virginia with Chaplain Bonnie Schandorf officiating. Friends may gather one hour prior the service at the church. Private family inurnment will take place in the Eveleth Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. John died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Raphael’s Health and Rehab in Eveleth, MN. John was born October 16, 1942 in Eveleth, Minnesota to George and Orpah (Bargh) DesRosier. He was a graduate of Eveleth High School and later moved to Chicago where he worked for Delta Airlines. He returned to Minnesota and worked in sales and management for Darling Freight in Minneapolis and for Century Motor Freight where he gave over 30 years of service. John was an avid golfer, fisherman and enjoyed all types of cars. Survivors include his daughters: Michele (Bob) Woods of Eveleth and Renee DesRosier of St. Petersburg, FL; step-sons: Nick Tokarczyk of Aurora and Peter (Kim) Tokarczyk of Gilbert; granddaughters: Raena Cobb, Sara Tokarczyk and Rachel Woods; his brother, Murray (Jean) DesRosier of Rice Lake; former wife, Jean Williams of Ocala, FL; special friend, Sally Arnold of Buhl and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Valerie.
