Mary K. Rintala

Funeral Service for Mary K. Rintala, 79, of rural Aurora, will be 10:30am Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Aurora with Pastor Donald Stauty officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. She died Monday, December 19, 2016 at Essentia Health – Virginia Convalescent Care Center. Mary was born October 12, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN to Lauritz and Anna (Anderson) Nilsen. She married Eino Rintala in November 1967 in Virginia, MN. Mary worked at the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory and later served as an apartment manager in Virginia for several years. Mary was a devoted member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Dishneau of Duluth; son, Joel Behrends of Arizona; grandchildren: Rose (Ben) Powers, Gary (Leilani) Boyer and Brad Boyer; great grandchildren: Christopher Bol, Dominick Bukal and Aidan Brandt; brother, Daniel Nilsen of Washington; sister, Anna Unick of Washington; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Virgil, in infancy; husband, Eino; siblings: John, Jacob, Joseph, Esther and Ruth
