Funeral service for Lillian Marie Moscatelli, 89, of Aurora will be 10:30 am Monday, November 14, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Aurora with Pastor Barb Hegfors officiating. A visitation will be held from 3-5 pm Sunday at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the Eveleth Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Lillian died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Essentia Health-Northern Pines in Aurora. Lillian was born on March 11, 1927 to Wilfred and Selma Chivers in Minot, ND. She graduated as the Valdectorian from Minot High School, class of 1945. Following high school, Lillian continued her education at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities Cadet Corp Program of Nursing during WWII. Lillian was united in marriage to Arthur Renald Moscatelli on June 30, 1948 in Minot. Lillian worked as a registered nurse throughout the state of Minnesota. She had been employed at General Hospital in Minneapolis, University of Minnesota Medical Center, Miller Hospital in St. Paul, St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs, Trinity Hospital in Minot, Mahnomen County Hospital, Aida Community Hospital, St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo, Pipestone County Hospital, White Community Hospital (assisted in implementing their OB/GYN department), Eveleth Fitzgerald Hospital, Virginia Regional Medical Center, East Range Clinic, and Erie Range Dispensary at Erie Mining Company. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church and their women’s groups. She participated in community outreach boards, the Garden Club, the American Red Cross, and the PTA. Lillian was a past President of the local chapter of American Cancer Society and served on the Board of Directors for Community Education. Lillian also volunteered for Lutheran Social Services mentoring handicapped youth. Lillian loved to entertain, especially for her bridge club ladies. Lillian’s other passions included skiing at Giants Ridge, camping with her family, knitting and sewing. She took great pleasure in traveling with Art to Alaska, the East Coast, Ireland and California to visit their son Todd’s family. During their trips to Europe, Lillian and Art had the opportunity to visit family in England and Italy, respectively. She also traveled with friends to Hawaii. Survivors include her children: Linda (John Burgess) Myklebust of Tower, Peter (Rebekah) Moscatelli of Chanhassen, Todd (Jennie) Moscatelli of Eldorado Hills, CA, and Gari (Lizette) Moscatelli of Forest Lake; Eight grandchildren: Megan (Matt) Uhan, Ryan (Melaine) Myklebust, Joseph Moscatelli, Tatyana Moscatelli, Eric Moscatelli, Andrea Moscatelli, Tia Moscatelli, and Tess Moscatelli; and four great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Mia Uhan , Andrew and Sophia Myklebust; two sisters: Dorothy Kappel of Fargo, ND and Marilyn Anderson of Lacey, WA; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; two infant granddaughters, Tate Catherine and Julia Alline Moscatelli; and her parents.
