Diana M. Silcox

Funeral service for Diana May Silcox , 69, of Biwabik, will be 2pm Friday, July 8, 2016 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Pastor Mickey Olson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Diana died Tuesday July 5, 2016 at her home. Diana was born May 15, 1947 in Wadena, Minnesota to Herman and Vivian (Hotakainen) Mattson. She was a graduate of Mesabi East High School. Diane worked for the Mesabi East Schools in the food service department for 24 years, retiring in 2016. She married Ralph Silcox on July 2, 1988. She was formerly married to Gary Lax and John Aho. Survivors include her son, Lincoln Silcox of Biwabik; step-children: Jodi, Cheryl, Ryan and Brenda; five grandchildren; siblings: Donna Norby, Gary Mattson and David Mattson; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph; sons: Brian Lax and Keith Aho; brothers: Kenneth and Ronald.
