Andrew E. Biondich

Funeral service for Andrew Edward Biondich, 91, of Gilbert, will be 10am Thursday at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Fr. Frank Perkovich officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in the Gilbert Cemetery. Andrew died Sunday, June 19, 2016 surrounded by family on Father’s Day. Andrew was born February 18, 1925 in Elcor Location, Minnesota to Daniel and Amanda (Bronich) Biondich. He was a graduate of Gilbert High School and later married Rosemarie Strukel in 1952. He owned and operated Andy’s Mobile Station in Gilbert for 25 years prior to working for the City of Gilbert Water and Light Department for nearly 20 years. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gilbert. Andy was an avid gardener and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include his wife, Rosemarie; children: Dan (Liz) Biondich and Cynthia (Tom) Hoshal; grandchildren: Joanne (Brad) Scott, Nicholas (Nicole) Biondich, Andy (Nikki) Biondich and Christopher (Corina) Hoshal; four great grandchildren: Cal, Mayme, Avery and Daniel; sister, Mary Samargia; brother, Curt (Ann) Biondich He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Katie and brothers, Daniel and Joseph.
