David Jacobs

Funeral Mass for David E. Jacobs, 67, of rural Aurora, will be 10am Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in Rauha Cemetery in White Township. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. David died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Essentia Health – Duluth, MN. David was born April 18, 1948 in Wellington, Kansas to Cecil and Wanda (Mitchell) Jacobs. He was a graduate of Goddard High School in Goddard, KS and later worked in the aircraft industry in Wichita, KS. On September 16, 1972 he married Elizabeth Marincel in Mt. Iron, MN. David worked for Powder River Coal Mining in Gillette, Wyoming for 18 years as a warehouse technician where he was known as “super Dave”. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, was an avid gardener and especially enjoyed watching his children’s sporting events throughout the years. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth “Beth”; children: Clare Tucker, Phillip Jacobs, Matt Jacobs and Nicole Jacobs; ten grandchildren; brother, Tom Jacobs. He is preceded in death by his parents.
