William H. Tuomala

Memorial service for William Harold Tuomala, 82, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 1pm Saturday, November 7, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Aurora with Pastor John Jacquart officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Memorial Cemetery in Hoyt Lakes, MN. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. William died Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at Essentia Health – Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora. He was born September 10, 1933 in Ely, MN to Harold and Jessie (LeRoy) Tuomala. William attended school in Ely and later married Joyce Lax on January 10, 1953 in Ely. He worked in the construction and iron mining industries, retiring as a truck driver. William was a devout member of First Baptist Church and the Steelworkers Union #6115. Survivors include his wife, Joyce; children: Marie (Ken) Spencer of Hoyt Lakes, Robert (Debbie) Tuomala of Washington, Donna (Greg) Halvorson of Roseau and Darlene (Greg) Wicklund of Dilworth, MN; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; sisters: LaNetta (Gary) Ruckdaschel of Aurora and Yvonne Kochendorfer of Hoyt Lakes; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Jessie; brother, Richard; great grandson, Tre Reinke.
