Judith H. Little

Funeral service for Judith Helen Little, 71, of rural Gilbert, will be 11am Monday, August 3, 2015 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-4:00pm and also one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in the Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik, MN. She died suddenly on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Essentia Health – Virginia. Judith was born October 29, 1943 in Jackson, MN to Robert E. and Helen R. (McDonald) Spear. She attended Biwabik High School and was a homemaker and mother. In her middle years, she worked for St. Louis County Social Services for nearly 20 years. Judith enjoyed living at the lake and time spent with family and friends. She had a love for animals – especially dogs - and was always willing to have several to care for at one time. Survivors include her children: Robert Little of Colorado, Mitchell (Sylvia) Little of New Mexico, Vincent (Nicole Gillespie) Little of Aurora and Michelle (Jeff) Yurczyk of Gilbert; grandchildren: James Little, Josephine Gillespie, Andy Bertram, Kirsten Yurczyk and Zach Yurczyk; great grandchild, Brayden Dahl; siblings: James Spear of St. James, Jean (Jerry) Newton of Biwabik and Bobbie (Terry) Stachovich of Lake Nebagamon, WI; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph Spear; sister, Debra Josephson.
