Rodney "Jim" Anderson

A gathering of family and friends for Rodney “Jim” Anderson, 72, of rural Gilbert will be from 5:00-7:00pm Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. He died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Essentia Health – Virginia. Rodney was born January 28, 1943 to James and Ida Anderson in Phoenix, AZ. On August 31, 1963 he married Sally Hill in Biwabik, MN. Jim worked as an automotive mechanic and as a truck driver in the logging industry for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing and was a member of the Golden Horn Lodge. Survivors include his son, Mark Anderson and daughter, Teresa Anderson, both of Eveleth; grandsons: Nate, Matt and Bradley; brothers, Leonard (Joyce) and David (Maryann) Anderson; sister, Patricia Jarvela; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Cheryl Lynn in infancy and his wife, Sally.
