Josephine F. Pearson

Josephine Pearson, 91, of Gilbert passed away peacefully Friday September 28, 2012 at Cook Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday October 3, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Charles Flynn officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service with interment at Gilbert Cemetery. Services by Ziemer Moeglein Shatava Funeral Home of Gilbert. A very special "Thank You" to the staff at Cook Nursing Home for their excellent loving care. Josephine was born January 1, 1921 to John and Teresa (Miklich) Tomsich in Gilbert. Josephine was a hard working homemaker, who loved food and fellowship. She was famous for her pasties and poteca. Josephine was also fluent in Slovenian, and would translate letters for folks to and from the old country. Her talents were also sought out in knitting and crocheting, another mastered craft of Josephine's. She is loved and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by husband Alvar "Libby" Pearson; 11 siblings and her parents. Josephine is survived by three sons Richard (Judith) Pearson, George (Sharon) Pearson, Terry (Janet) Pearson, daughter Trudy ( Dwayne) Roth; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews
