Peggy Lee Honkola

Peggy Lee (Alaspa) Benjamin, 61, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday August 29, 2012 at her home in Embarrass. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held 2 to 4 PM Saturday September 1, 2012 at the Ziemer Moeglein Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Peggy was born July 4, 1951 to Raymond and Violet (Marsyla) Alaspa in Biwabik. She worked as a nurse at Virginia Regional Medical Center for over 20 years, and two years at St. Mary's. Peggy enjoyed the outdoors, wether working in the garden, going fishing, or riding a motorcycle, but her true joy was being 'Muumuu' to her treasured grandchildren. Peggy's joyful spirit will be dearly missed by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; twin infant sons John, James; two sisters Georgine and Sharon. Peggy is survived by three children, Tasha (Jim) Rostvit, Raylon (Nina O'Hearon) Honkola, Barrett (Talicia) Honkola; eight grandchildren, Nesslie, Kitana, Jillena, Alanna, Jacob, Matias, Miikah, Rian; twin brothers Kevin (Diane Alaspa, Keith Alaspa; extended family and many friends.
